I'm Dr. Kimberley Palmiotto...

but everyone I work with calls me Dr. Kim.

I have been a therapist and educational psychologist for 30 years working with families, children, teens, and educators.  I have a Masters in Marital and Family Therapy & Art Therapy and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology.  I am also a board certified School Neuropsychologist under the American Board of School Neuropsychology (ABSNP).

My specialities include working with children, teens, and young adults using evidence based interventions such as CBT, DBT, and TF-CBT.  I was formally trained as an art therapist so I will often incorporate expressive therapies in sessions.   I work from a holistic-based approach and will often incorporate mindfulness, sound healing, and other holistic practices into the therapeutic process.

My goal is to educate, inform, and support families and educators with neurodivergent and mental health issues.

Whether it is an assessment for Autism or Learning Disorders, workshops for parents and educators, or therapeutic intervention for anxiety I work with families and school teams to understand and develop strategies to help.  I specialize in learning disorders, ADHD, anxiety, and working with tween and teen girls and their families during adolescence.

Please note that I am only able to work with you therapeutically through assessment and/or counseling if you live in the following states:  MD, CA, SC, OK.  If you live in another state, I am happy to consult with you to see if there are other options or provide you with some referrals to help.  Just reach out by email.
